Message from Headteacher:

Assalamu alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu

I am immensely grateful for the opportunity to be serving my Blackburn town community and intend to give it my all and take it from strength to strength. May Allah (SWT) grant me the tawfeeq to do so. العالمين يارب آمين

It is an honour to be working for a school that has been well established for 22 years. The staff body are welcoming and supportive, most of whom have worked here for a number of years which demonstrates the firm roots the school has within the community.

Before my appointment, I served as head teacher at Edenfield Girls' High School in Nelson and I have to come to my home town to guide and nurture the girls in our community, making sure they achieve the best in dunya and the akhira, both academically and Islamically.

As society is rapidly changing, I hope to evolve the curriculum to build stronger faith driven initiatives that help the students develop their understanding of Islam that uphold the highest standards of being a British Muslims in society.

Within any organisation, teamwork, dedication and commitment are essential ingredients in making it a successful one. Please keep Islamiyah Girls High School in your humble and precious dua’s.

We thankyou for the continued understanding and support.

Jazak Allah Khairun

Mrs Yaasmin Abdulla Mubarak

Headteacher (appointed January 2023)

Leaders are highly ambitious for the school and its pupils. They have ensured that the quality of education that the school provides has improved strongly since the last inspection, so it is now outstanding in all areas.
